Honolulu Star-Advertiser, 20 Mar 2011 - Isle Medical Cannabis Users Are Rising, and Some Doctors Are Charging High Fees to Certify Patients Medical marijuana has become a lucrative business in Hawaii. Legal users soared to more than 8,000 over the past decade from 255 in 2001, the program's first year.
