New York City Fire Department To Get Court Monitor In Discrimination Case
A federal judge issued a landmark ruling this week imposing a monitor on New York City's fire department over its discriminatory hiring practices. He castigated Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his aides for failing to stop the violations.
