Leona Lewis is to host a special benefit for the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary in Hollywood this week.
Nearly 30 years ago, Hopefield Animal Sanctuary was founded to save horses abandoned in the freezing English countryside. Today, in addition to horses, the nonprofit animal organization has expanded to give more than 200 rabbits, pigs, cows, goats, cats and more a safe, warm and loving home. Acting as ambassador, spokesperson and trustee for the foundation is singer Leona Lewis, who rose to fame after she won “The X Factor” in 2006.
Lewis is currently leading a charge to help Hopefield raise urgent lifesaving funds by Christmas, and will join Natasha Bedingfield and others at a special event in LA this weekend. One hundred percent of the evening’s proceeds will go to the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary.
The event takes place at a private home in the Hollywood Hills from 7:30pm-11:00pm on November 19.
Among those expected to attend are Perez Hilton, Nicole Scherzinger, Steve Jones, Paula Abdul, Matthew Morrison, Jeremy Piven, Rob Kardashian, Kristin Cavallari, Kevin McHale and many more.
