The SEC will be the conference that obviously soaks up most of the spotlight with LSU and Alabama set to play for the national championship on college football’s biggest stage down in New Orleans.
As if we needed any more reason to talk about how good the SEC is, not only does the conference have the two championship game participants, it also sent nine teams to a bowl game this year.
The crazy part is, the SEC didn’t even send the most teams, as that honor belongs to the Big Ten, which sent ten participants to the postseason.
Yes, we know that the SEC and Big Ten will be raking in plenty of revenue from bowl payouts this year.
While all six of the BCS conference should do pretty well in terms of postseason revenue this year, which conference will actually have the toughest time on the field?
Well, it only takes one look at the bowl schedule to realize that the Pac-12 could be in some serious trouble this postseason.
Yes, the conference sent both Oregon and Stanford to BCS bowl games, but the Ducks and the Cardinal will have two tough opponents in Wisconsin and Oklahoma State, and it wouldn't be shocking to see both come up empty.
Then in the non-BCS bowl games, Washington will have a rough time with QB Robert Griffin III and Baylor, California will have its hands full with Texas, and UCLA and Arizona State both look like they’ve packed it in for the year.
Nope, things aren’t looking good for the Pac-12 this bowl season.
