Five Dead in New Jersey Plane Crash

Two directors from the investment banking firm Greenhill & Company, Rakesh Chawla and Jeffrey F. Buckalew, are believed dead after a small plane crashed on Interstate 287 in New Jersey this morning. Buckalew's wife and two children were also thought to be aboard the single-engine plane, which departed Teterboro Airport just before 10 a.m. In a statement, Greenhill called Buckalew "an experienced pilot whose passion was flying." Both men, the statement said, "were extraordinary professionals who were highly respected by colleagues and clients alike. They will be sorely missed, and our sympathies go out to their families and friends."
