When the Vegas odds have Manny as a huge favorite on Saturday, there isn?t a lot to be excited for. While Mosley is certainly of the belief he can win, history seems to indicate that Mosley is a dead man walking?figuratively.
For the sake of boxing there has to be hope that Shane Mosley can reach back into his bag of tricks and find the kind of fight that made him a great fighter up until recent memory clouded his own legacy. While I?m confident that Mosley has the potential to surprise people, I?m even more confident that he must surprise people.

Boxing is dying to be relevant once again. With UFC dominating the landscape, and stars like Brock Lesnar capturing the attention of the youth, there is little hope for boxing unless it gives us something to talk about.
A first class fight between two notable fighters would be a boon to the sport and grease the wheels for what would be the biggest fight in a decade: Mayweather vs. Pacquiao.
But none of the feels possible if Pacquiao destroys Mosley like most of the experts are picking.
Let?s hope Manny wins, but Mosley gives him the fight of his life. That could be just what the doctor ordered for a dying sport.
