I know, I know, it’s hard to be patient in fantasy football.
Watching a guy you picked in the third round continue to put up two-to-four points is incredibly frustrating.
In the case of some players, like Peyton Hillis, trade him.
But in the following cases, keep him or try and trade while their stock is at an all-time low:
Roddy White, WR, Atlanta Falcons
White is mentally not in the 2011 season right now. He is committing stupid penalties and is uncharacteristically dropping a high amount of passes.
Blame it on the lockout.
I think he is poised to have a huge bounce-back week against the Lions that will give him the momentum to get back on track.
With Julio Jones out with an injury, White will add to his two touchdown receptions very soon.
Mike Williams, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Somehow Williams can’t even crack the top 60 in wide receiver fantasy points thus far, despite being tied for seventh in overall targets.
That means the highly skilled receiver is struggling on his timing with Josh Freeman. This will eventually change and expect Williams to be putting up huge numbers to vault past teammates Preston Parker and Arrelious Benn in the fantasy department.
Plus the schedule really lightens up as far as bad pass defenses are concerned.
Percy Harvin, WR, Minnesota Vikings
Harvin has been saddled with Donovan McNabb and his inability to make any throw for too long. Now he gets a rookie in Christian Ponder that will at least look in his direction.
Harvin only has 36 targets in 12 games, and hasn’t had a receiving TD after getting 12 in his first two seasons in the league.
While Week 6 isn’t the best time to start Harvin as Ponder will surely have some serious growing pains, he is going to be a great fantasy option for the second half of the season.
Remember that he returns kicks and punts too.
