Chad Ford's Draft Puts Marcus Morris on the Houston Rockets at Pick No. 14
The 6-9 Marcus Morris is a legit pro prospect. It's clear that he will be a productive role player for any team that drafts him.
He is a consistent scorer that can be relentless on the boards. His motor is always running and effort has never been an issue. Ford thinks Morris would be great in Houston:
The Rockets traded away Shane Battier in February, and Morris wouldn't be a bad long-term replacement. His ability to stretch the floor and rebound, combined with a high basketball IQ, should be welcome in Houston.

The problem with Morris is he's a tweener. In college at Kansas he was a dominate power forward, but is a bit undersized in the NBA. Would he be quick enough to defend the small forwards in the league?
Good Fit or Bad Fit?
Bad Fit
If there is one player currently in the NBA that I would compare Morris to it would be Chuck Hayes.
Who does Hayes play for?
The Rockets.
Houston should look into drafting some sort of forward?one that is 6-10 or taller.
