Cain Velasquez Is Ready to Fight at UFC 136 in Houston, TX

Bleacher Report's JP Smith:

Cain Velasquez was a guest today on The MMA Hour and spoke with Ariel Helwani about his injury recovery and who he?s rooting for between UFC heavyweight contenders Brock Lesnar and Jr. Dos Santos.

Velasquez says that he?s ?dying to get in the Octagon again? and feels he?s 90-95 percent recovered.

Since he?s not going 100 percent in training, he has been working on technique and footwork, mostly.

He says that, ?to be safe,? he will be 100 percent again ?in 2 months."

The doctor was really impressed with how well Cain is getting his motion back and that he won?t have any trouble getting back to 100 percent and kicking ass again.

His fianc饠gave him moral support throughout his recovery and during bouts of depression due to him not being able to fight.

In regards to how the injury occurred, Velasquez said, ?I don?t remember when or how I hurt it,? but says ?It was during the Lesnar fight.?
