The Chicago Bulls Will Advance Further in the 2011 NBA Playoffs
Derrick Rose was presented with the MVP award in front of a packed United Center. Of course he felt pressured to go out and perform well, but luckily his teammates had his back.
As the game progressed last night it was very clear the Bulls wanted it more. They were down a game and they were hungry for a win. The Chicago Bulls out hustled, out rebounded, and out played the Atlanta Hawks last night.
Ross exceeded his nightly average as he put up 25 points and 10 assists. However, he was just 1-8 from beyond the arc. He told reporters after the game that he knew he could have done better. Per ESPN:
Shots I normally hit, they just didn't fall tonight, Rose said. The way that they're playing me, I'm going to continue to shoot.

Rose hasn't been hitting it well from downtown this post season. That doesn't mean he hasn't stopped trying though. Rose has averaged around eight three pointers in his last five games. Perhaps he should limit that number because he's only making an average of two per game.
Even though Rose struggled with the jumper at times last night he had Joakim Noah and Luol Deng to back him up. Noah scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while Deng had 14 points and 12 boards.
When three players on you team average a double double you're all but guaranteed to win the game. It would have been four players but Carlos Boozer was 4-12 from the field with only eight points.
The Bulls should have ran away with this game. They are the better team and it showed last night. Atlanta played awful basketball, and Chicago played scrappy ball. Bulls players flying all over the court and hustling to keep the ball alive. Like I said, Chicago wanted it more last night.
The series is all tied up 1-1 now, and the Bulls head to Atlanta for Game 3 on Friday night. Chicago will once again dominate because they are they better team.
Atlanta caught them off guard in Game 1, but last night proved they've still got it. Watch out Hawks, you're in for a heap of trouble in this series, especially if you only make 33 percent of your shots again.
