The First Family was glued to the television watching the U.S. Women's Soccer Team play in the Women's World Cup Final on Sunday. Obama tweeted his support during the game:
"To the women of our national soccer team: Sorry I can't be there to see you play, but I'll be cheering you on from here. Let's go. -BO." Later, after the team lost, Obama tweeted, "Couldn't be prouder of the women of #USWNT after a hard-fought game. Congratulations to Japan, Women's World Cup Champions.” [Politico]
