Court: Man's Web Postings About Obama Assassination Are Free Speech
Overruling a conviction, a divided federal court said predictions or exhortations to kill a president aren't criminalized by federal law. In its opinion, the court warned that when punishing words, courts should not "distort or embellish their plain meaning."
