With Indiana governor Mitch Daniels taking his name out of the 2012 presidential race for family reasons, our own John Heilemann weighs on in why some other early potential candidates are also having second thoughts. He suggests it could be the "meat-grinder and flash incinerator" that is the modern-day campaign. True, that sounds rather awful.
